On Sunday afternoon, two ice fishers on Mantua Reservoir fell through thin ice and were rescued by officers and firefighters who used flotation devices before the pair were medically evaluated and left the scene.

Spencer Eccles from Ogden carried the Olympic torch in northern Italy on Sunday evening as part of its journey toward Milan for the 2026 Winter Games.

He said the run brought back memories of his family’s Olympic legacy and local training that helped athletes reach the Games.
