Good morning, Ogden.

Parents met with Weber School District officials at Valley Elementary School in Eden today to urge retention of two part-time teachers facing layoffs because of declining enrollment and budget cuts; they warned that letting them go could lead to class sizes of 33 to 37 students + affect local classrooms.

A South Weber toddler remains in critical condition on ECMO life support after doctors performed an unprecedented open-heart procedure and a brain surgery on his birthday to relieve swelling.

His family holds onto hope and asks for continued positive thoughts as his condition changes hourly.

Ogden will host the LGT World Men’s Curling Championships at Weber County Sports Complex from March 27 to April 4 with 66 athletes from 13 countries.
