- ➤ Lawmakers approved Senate Bill 69 that sets a bell-to-bell cellphone ban in public schools, extending restrictions to lunch, recess, and class transit while allowing local schools to adjust rules for emergencies. The policy will take effect July 1 if Governor Spencer Cox signs it. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ Local non-profit Women4STEM will hold its fourth annual conference on Saturday, March 14 at Weber State University-Davis campus in Layton as students from 7th grade & professionals join breakout sessions and networking to explore STEM careers. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ SB268, a bill requiring public school social studies lessons to include the role of religion in U.S. history and government, passed the Senate and now moves to the House. It will take effect in the 2027-28 school year. The Salt Lake Tribune
