- ➤ Foley’s Mixed Martial Arts and Ogden City have partnered to offer a youth boxing program that takes place after school Monday-Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and is open to all kids regardless of finances. The program uses $30,000 in city seed funding & matching funds from the gym. Standard-Examiner
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Utah lawmakers approved a series of water and environmental bills including $30 million for the Great Salt Lake to secure water release — while shifting water management for the Colorado River and requiring better disclosures from data centers. Several measures remain under Senate review. FOX 13 News
- ➤ The Utah DWR confirmed chronic wasting disease in deer from new areas including Scofield and Uintah County (83 positive tests from last fall) and continues targeted monitoring to manage its spread. Gephardt Daily

- ➤ Utah Transit Authority announced that beginning April 12 it will switch to the UTA Farepay Card as its recommended payment method. Reduced fare customers in Ogden can pick up a free Farepay Card at local service locations (while supplies last) to benefit from fare capping. Standard-Examiner
