  • A rockslide in Ogden Canyon crushed the hood of a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup parked along State Route 39 near mile marker 10 on Sunday morning — although the occupants nearby were unharmed and no injuries were reported.  Gephardt Daily

  • AtWork opened a new staffing center for Ogden job seekers on Monday, March 31st near 1900 West in Roy. Jason Anderson, the branch manager, said the center with three full-time staffers will help local residents find work in light industrial, clerical, and project roles — a needed service amid federal workforce cuts and a potential economic slowdown.  Standard-Examiner

  • Police in Riverdale issued a Silver Alert for 86-year-old Edward Bovero, reported missing Monday morning from his home and described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes—his reliance on oxygen and the cold weather heighten concerns for his safety.  Standard-Examiner

  • South Ogden’s Ziegfeld Theater will host HiveFest on Friday, April 4 as Ogden’s International Film Festival. The event will run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and a $5 admission fee while showcasing independent short films from local and international filmmakers.  Standard-Examiner

  • Utah is facing dust season as winds carry dust from the West Desert, the Great Salt Lake and nearby gravel pits while local residents with asthma report breathing troubles. State officials have allocated funding for improved dust monitoring — urging residents to check the weather — so they can plan safer outdoor activities.  FOX 13 News

  • Mortgage manager Jeremy Holmgren said Utah’s home market is shifting toward a buyer’s market as more homes are available, homes are on the market longer and sellers increasingly offer concessions—often between $10,000 and $15,000—to help with closing costs.
