- ➤ Utah’s Catholic Community Services said it may have to end its refugee resettlement program next year after losing key federal funding from the previous administration and already laying off 25 employees while serving 300 families. The organization is fighting the funding suspension in court and is seeking private donations — a plea to help sustain its service— as it continues to support current clients. The Salt Lake Tribune

- ➤ An email from the IRS Human Capital Officer said the layoff process is underway at Ogden IRS, with staffing cuts coming across several offices—IRS workers must upload their resumes by April 14th for review. More details on voluntary early retirement or separation are expected next week. KSL-TV

- ➤ Junction City Roller Derby will hold its Spring Slam event on Saturday, April 19 at Golden Spike Exhibit Hall—doors open at 5 p.m. with the first whistle at 6 p.m.—featuring a 'Heels vs. Faces' matchup between Junction City's developmental team and Salt Lake City's Beehive Skate Revolution. The event will offer advance tickets at $10 and $15 at the door while kids 12 and under get free entry and part of the proceeds will benefit Safe Harbor Crisis Center during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
