- ➤ Monarch in Ogden hosts the 'What were you wearing?' exhibit that shows everyday clothing like a school uniform and hospital gown worn by sexual assault survivors to challenge victim-blaming ideas. The exhibit runs through April to raise awareness and display survivors' messages (based on real client stories). KSL-TV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Utah’s Merci Car—one of 49 boxcars gifted after World War II—was moved from Union Station to Cheyenne for restoration by Mike Pannell’s Vintage Rail Restorations and is now about 75–80% complete. When finished, the car will be trucked to the Legion for a one-time display with Wyoming’s Merci Car before returning to Junction City, possibly as early as May while work continues through August. - ➤ Utah Ren Fest, Weber County’s homegrown Renaissance fair organized by Sue Bodily since 2006, will return to Marriott-Slaterville next month after a record 2024 with three themed weekends. The festival will run May 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and feature combat demonstrations, jousting, and over 100 vendors — ticket prices remain affordable. Standard-Examiner

- ➤ The US Air Force now has a stealth fighter built from parts of two damaged F-35 jets — one that suffered engine failure in 2014 and the other was damaged on June 8. The rebuilt jet cost $11.7 million, saved $63 million, and returned to Hill Air Force Base on March 26. FOX 13 News
