GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Ogden City Council approved a $1 million restoration plan for the historic Union Stock Exchange Building, built in 1930 and listed on the National Register. The funds will cover stabilization and pre-construction work, with payment upon completion, to prevent further deterioration and foster local economic growth.  FOX 13 News
  • Due to ongoing drought and low snowpack, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District announced a mandatory 20% outdoor watering cut for summer, affecting more than 700,000 residents in Davis, Weber, Summit, Morgan, and Box Elder counties; officials will review conditions monthly to decide if a 40% cut is needed.  KUER
