- ➤ Weber County Animal Services now cares for eight dogs and eleven cats left from a hoarding crisis that began with 154 dogs because many rescue groups helped. - ➤ A Utah couple, James Lael Jensen and Kelly Anne Jensen, were arrested Wednesday on charges of money laundering and smuggling 2,881 shipments of oil worth over $300 million from Mexican cartels—charges that also include their two sons after a multi-state raid on their Texas company and Sandy mansion. - ➤ A grass fire burned 700 acres in northwest Weber County Friday night. Crews from WCFD and the Utah Division of Natural Resources responded around 6:30 p.m. and contained the fast-moving blaze — no injuries or property damage were reported and the cause remains under investigation.
