Good morning, Ogden.

🏛️ Government
Ogden City is starting improvements today on Gib’s Loop Trail to keep users off the Mt. Ogden Golf Course for safety reasons.
The work will add new signage, natural fencing, maintenance gates, and a rerouted section of the trail—volunteers and the Ogden High School Mountain Bike Team will help guide these changes over the next few months.
This summer, families in Utah will receive help feeding their children as the Utah SUN Bucks program, also known as Summer EBT, provides $120 per eligible school-age child for groceries; funds will be added to an EBT account or issued on a separate card beginning in June.
Eligible children (those receiving SNAP, TANF, Medicaid or free/reduced lunch) will be automatically enrolled.
🏥 Health
In 2023, Utah farmers and ranchers used all free therapy vouchers from a federal program in just four months—one recipient said it saved his life.
State lawmakers have criticized the one-time funding boost as unsustainable given the high stress and suicide risk in farming.
