- ➤ The 23rd annual Historic 25th Street Car Show will take over downtown Ogden +this coming Friday from 5-9 p.m.+ with over 350 classic and custom vehicles, live music, and food. A new Pit Zone Expo in Ogden Municipal Park +offers family-friendly activities like vendors, kids' fun, and free axe throwing+ and the event is expected to draw about 24,000 people. Standard-Examiner

- ➤ Officials from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office and Weber School District asked for help after vandals sprayed graffiti on the under construction Roosevelt Elementary School in Washington Terrace early June 5 — security camera footage showed four people in hoodies and masks and cleanup efforts will not delay the planned early August opening while a $500 reward is offered for tips. - ➤ The candidate filing period for the 2025 municipal election ended in Ogden City, leaving four City Council seats to be contested in November. - ➤ UK-based AstraZeneca filed a lawsuit on May 23 against Attorney General Derek Brown and Insurance Commissioner Jon Pike to block state law SB69, which went into effect on May 7 and expands drug discounts for pharmacies working with 340B hospitals— the suit claims the law is unconstitutional and will cause economic harm.
