- ➤ A grass fire at Prevedel Park in West Haven burned five acres on Friday night and trapped four campers who were evacuated by firefighters—no injuries or building damage occurred as the park was closed to camping and foot traffic with a preliminary investigation noting the fire started when a campfire spread into nearby cotton debris. - ➤ On Friday evening, firefighters from Weber Fire District, Ogden City Fire and Hill Air Force Base evacuated four campers trapped in a fast-spreading grass fire at Prevedel Park in West Haven and contained the blaze across five acres with no injuries or structure damage reported + officials say a campfire that spread into dry cotton debris caused the fire, leaving the park closed until further notice.
