Dallas Workman, a longtime Utah WWII veteran and education leader, will turn 102 on Sunday as his family gathers in Layton to honor his years of service and trusted advice (born in Vernal).

Friends and family gathered in North Ogden last night to celebrate the life of 13-year-old Leina Capanna, who died when a falling tree struck her during a paddleboarding outing at Pineview Reservoir.
