On Friday, June 19, businessman John Gullo released his book Extraordinary Adventures of an Ordinary Man at Treehouse Children’s Museum in Ogden where locals (including children) celebrated his legacy as a Burger King pioneer and pickleball advocate, and he was honored with a proclamation from Mayor Ben Nadolski.

On the Fourth of July, Ogden will mark the nation’s 250th birthday with a walk and welcome ceremony honoring veterans.

Sign-in begins at 10:30 a.m. at Municipal Gardens, and the noon walk along Historic 25th Street ends at Union Station & a 2 p.m. ceremony celebrates the Merci Car’s return.

A wildland fire is burning near the Middle Fork Campground in Ogden Valley, having grown to 334 acres (no structures are threatened) by Saturday night; firefighters work through the night with more resources arriving Sunday morning as they investigate its human-caused start.
