  • Director Carol Madsen—who overcame pancreatic cancer—is now leading School of Rock: The Musical at Terrace Plaza Playhouse, where local talent including Brandon Garside and David Simon will perform on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays from June 13 to July 26 with no show on July 4.  Standard-Examiner

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Records show that enforcement of storm drain pollution affecting Great Salt Lake has been weak since 2019 — only two of 24 intentional spills have been fined while many accidental reports received little follow-up — leaving concerns about water quality and local habitats.  The Salt Lake Tribune

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Ogden City officials, including Mayor Benjamin K. Nadolski and City Council members, will visit Hof, Germany later this summer to attend Hofer Volksfest and meet local leaders. The delegation is set to leave on July 29 and return on August 4—continuing a sister city tie since 1954— to build on strong cultural and civic ties.  Standard-Examiner
