ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Local fire crews from Ogden and Weber responded Friday night to a grass fire near 12th Street and 500 West that set nine junk cars ablaze and briefly ignited a Fresenius Medical Care roof while Morgan County firefighters with Mountain Green volunteers contained a separate blaze near 700 W. Island Road amid strong winds—no injuries were reported and residents are urged to heed fire safety guidelines. Standard-Examiner

- ➤ South Ogden police arrested a juvenile suspect who allegedly brandished a firearm during South Ogden Days at Friendship Park—he dropped his weapon and fled toward the main concert stage—where officers later recovered him and confirmed no ongoing threat. Standard-Examiner

- ➤ Maroon 5 will bring its Love is Like tour to the Delta Center on Oct. 25 in Ogden as part of a 23-date run that stops in Los Angeles, New York and Detroit. Tickets will begin selling with a Fan Club presale tomorrow at 10 a.m.—the band will release its new album on Aug. 15. Gephardt Daily

- ➤ Twenty Utah National Guard members deployed to the Middle East saw no change to their mission after Iran fired missiles at Qatar's Al Udeid Air Base on June 23—command said current threat assessments remain unchanged. - ➤ Large detonations were carried out Monday at the Utah Test and Training Range to destroy old rocket motors, and residents reported feeling the blast while the Air Force monitored weather and sound levels.
