Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 3rd of July.
Good morning, Ogden.
🌲 Environment
Due to drought and construction lowering water levels, Utah DWR increased daily fishing limits at seven waterbodies, including Pineview Reservoir (linked to an Ogden pipeline project).
The changes took effect July 2 and run until Oct. 1 or Dec. 31 depending on the waterbody.
🏈 Sports
The Ogden Raptors paused Thursday night's game at Lindquist Field to honor three wildland firefighters killed while responding to the Snyder Fire near the Utah-Colorado border.
The moment of silence on Wildland Firefighter Day showed local support and respect — a reminder of the risks faced by crews.
