Good morning, Ogden.

Ogden's new Marshall White Center opened in May with a pool, fieldhouse and class areas, but some residents say the $60 monthly family membership—even with discounts—is too high for low-income families.

City officials said they will work to improve financial aid and help more people use the center while making sure it meets its bond payments.

Fire crews responded at 4:41 p.m. Saturday to a house fire on the 800 block of 11th North in Ogden that spread from one home to a second—saving four pets, securing the scene, and investigating damage estimated at $250,000 per home.

College basketball coaches face new challenges as the NIL era changes how they guide players—BYU’s Kevin Young advised breakout player Richie Saunders to weigh endorsement deals during the season, while Utah’s head coach Alex Jensen focuses on clear communication amid increased player agency. These shifts reflect a move toward leadership styles that blend professional NBA practices with traditional college team values.
