- ➤ First responders spent 24 hours battling the Willard Peak Fire in North Ogden+ and Bella's Fresh Mexican Grill provided breakfast burritos and lunch to support firefighters on Thursday morning. The community also donated funds as volunteers and firefighters worked together to control the 750-acre wildfire. FOX 13 News

- ➤ Ogden Fire Chief Mike Slater said investigators remain uncertain on the cause of a fire that burned an under-construction building at 18th Street and Lincoln Avenue nearly a week ago, and the ATF has joined local teams to test if the blaze was accidental — authorities urge builders to secure their sites to help prevent future fires. - ➤ A judge denied death row inmate Ralph Menzies’ final competency review request, leaving his execution by firing squad scheduled for Sept. 5 unchanged—experts had debated his health before making the decision. KSL-TV
