Good morning, Ogden.

North Ogden City downgraded evacuations to green early Saturday for residents east of 1050 East and north of 2850 North because the Willard Peak fire remained at 577 acres with 41% containment—residents are urged to prepare as hazards may still threaten their homes.

Residents in North Ogden returned to their homes on Thursday after a car fire caused evacuations near Willard Peak—fire crews made progress so the order was downgraded to green by Saturday and officials urged residents to stay ready if another evacuation is needed.

Roy police have set a curfew for minors from midnight to 6 a.m. to stop the rise of graffiti in public parks—police say they have a list of suspects but no arrests yet while residents worry about the high cost of repairs.

Utah Attorney General Derek Brown and attorneys general from 36 states sent a letter urging Meta to limit the new Instagram Map feature—designed to show users' live locations—to protect minors and alert adults about privacy risks.

The letter calls for prohibiting location sharing by minors and clear warnings for users while allowing an easy opt-out.
