- ➤ St. Joseph's senior Sofia Evans led the girls soccer team with four straight goals in a 7—5 win over Maeser Prep on Sept. 18 in Ogden. The victory marked their seventh consecutive region win as the Jayhawks overcame a reduced roster and injuries while preparing for upcoming region matches. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ Weber State freshman Simone Packer scored her first goal 23 seconds into the second half, leading the Wildcats to a 1-0 win over Cal Baptist in Riverside—she received a pass from Presley Ray that set up the goal. - ➤ Box Elder High girls soccer won 6-2 against Clearfield today as Halli Wright scored both goals and Emma Nelson kept a shutout, putting the team in the lead of the Region 5 race. Meanwhile, the Ogden volleyball team swept Grantsville in three close sets—Taylor Duke led with 13 kills while teammates added crucial aces. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ After a long three-week trip, Weber State beat McNeese 42-41 by building a 21-7 lead at halftime and barely holding on when McNeese closed the gap, showing the team must finish games stronger.
