Respondents stressed that leaders must promote civility—with 91% backing this view—and many believe social media has worsened tensions—calling for stronger content moderation. The Salt Lake Tribune
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A report from the University of Utah’s Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute finds that many veterans face barriers like long wait times and fear of being seen as weak when seeking mental health help. The Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs will use these findings to improve access to suicide prevention resources — aiming to build trust and reduce stigma among service members and veterans. - ➤ On Thursday, Weber State women’s volleyball won 3-1 at home over Eastern Washington with set scores of 25-11, 24-26, 25-15, and 25-19, led by key kills from Ray, Moore, and Gneiting. The school will host a homecoming doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.—while the women’s soccer team lost 4-0 to Montana and basketball teams returned to the revamped Dee ahead of the new season.
