- ➤ A guide lists events from Oct. 11—19 across Northern Utah with several in Ogden such as the Halloween Havoc Demolition Derby at Golden Spike Event Center, Dia de los Muertos at the Ogden Amphitheater, and a Creepy Doll Class at The Local Artisan Collective. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The defending state champion Tigers ended the regular season with 11 straight wins and were named the overall No. 1 seed in the 3A state girls soccer tournament while head coach Alexis King celebrated her first region title win since 2023—they earned a first-round bye and will face the winner of the Morgan—Delta matchup on Oct. 18 after first-round matches on Oct. 15. Semifinals will take place on Oct. 23 at Zions Bank Stadium and the state title game will be held on Oct. 25 at America First Field. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ Weber State women's soccer ended its match on Sunday with a historic 6-0 win over Sacramento State at Wildcat Field—setting a Big Sky record with six goals including a brace by senior forward Sayler Schlosser. Weber State volleyball swept Idaho 25-18, 25-21, 25-16 on Saturday at Swenson Gym as Kaylie Ray led the team with 16 kills. Standard-Examiner
