CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Ogden city leaders approved a plan to create an Olympic-themed mural on Kiesel Ave — they set aside up to $110,000 in city funds and will soon invite artists to submit proposals as they secure additional funding for the $210,000 project. KSL-TV
- ➤ Ogden City Arts announced that 35 performance groups with over 700 performers have signed up to entertain at Christmas Village, leaving only three spots available for holiday-themed 30-minute shows at the Ogden Amphitheater. The city will provide PA—mics, sound engineers and stage décor—while groups are asked to dress for freezing temperatures as they prepare for their evenings in the cold. Standard-Examiner

- ➤ Weber Innovation High School students launched a pop-up thrift store to give back to the Ogden community, holding a grand opening on Thursday and planning to run the classroom shop for a few hours every other day while hosting pop-ups throughout the month—building business skills and providing affordable clothing. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The UDHHS stated that WIC services remain available to registered clients into November—despite a pause in SNAP benefits due to the government shutdown. Gephardt Daily
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Ogden High's girls soccer team reached a state championship match for the seventh straight season after a 7-1 win against Grantsville in the 3A semifinals—boosting their season goal differential to 90-13. They will face either Carbon or Manti at America First Field on Saturday at 2 p.m. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ After a 43-27 win over Portland State on Oct. 18th, Weber State built its momentum with a strong defense that recorded three sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and five turnovers — showing the team's focus on working together.
