Students from Weber State University and other Utah schools are using classroom lessons in real-world aerospace and defense projects at the MARS center, where they build 3D-printed parts and test recycled plastic designs—offering paid, hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing techniques.

In January, the Ogden City Fire Department hired Angelina Watkins as its first homeless medical advocate to help residents at the Lantern House avoid unnecessary 911 calls—her work has led to a 25% drop in emergency trips.
