  • Ogden’s Christmas Village has opened for its 63rd year at Municipal Gardens with over 50 custom cottages and more than 750,000 lights that bring holiday magic to the area. Families can visit Santa and Mrs Claus for free from Nov. 29 until Jan. 1—enjoying hot cocoa, train rides, live shows, and charity donation machines.  FOX 13 News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Alta Ski Area is delayed due to warm weather and little snow and hopes to open by Dec. 5 if conditions improve. Brighton Resort is asking people to avoid the slopes during snowmaking, while Brian Head Resort opened last week, Powder Mountain and Nordic Valley are set for Dec. 12, and Eagle Point Resort will add terrain on Dec. 19 — resort officials say the weather may change later.  KSL-TV
  • Clearfield high school’s girls basketball team held Brighton guard Sophie Nielsen to six points—well below her usual 27—in a 52-30 win on Wednesday night. Coach JT Soter said the box-and-one defense and balanced scoring by 11 players secured the rout.  Standard-Examiner
  • Utah's women's basketball team beat Weber State 65—52 at the Huntsman Center on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City. Guard Avery Hjelmstad scored 10 of her 12 points early in the fourth quarter, but Utah maintained its lead to secure the win.  Standard-Examiner
