- ➤ Ogden officials are finalizing preparations for Christmas Village today at the Ogden Municipal Building with 60 cottages and nearly 500,000 lights — the event includes a Santa Run at 4:30 p.m., a parade at 5:30 p.m., and lighting with fireworks at 6:30 p.m. The free attraction is expected to draw 20,000 to 30,000 visitors on opening night and nearly 100,000 people over December as it runs through Jan. 1. - ➤ Families in Utah showed gratitude on Thanksgiving with community service—Ogden’s 40th anniversary Run/Walk for Charity collected over 2,800 pounds of food, Sandy’s Utah Food Bank event set a record with 6,000 registrations, and the Salvation Army in Salt Lake delivered meals to 1,000 local residents.
