At the Bear River Winter Classic, Ogden fell behind early and lost 63-52 to Emery, with Jackson Maw scoring 21 (for Ogden) as the team struggled to catch up; meanwhile, Northridge and Roy secured wins by outscoring their opponents.
Weber High senior Rylee Jugler led her team to a 55 to 26 win against Bear River at Bonneville High School on Friday during the Burchell Classic, scoring 17 points and earning tournament MVP honors — Weber now has five wins and will play Hunter Tuesday.
West Field boys wrestling opened their Region 5 season with a 45-34 win over Roy on Thursday, Dec.
5 at West Field High School in Taylor. Senior Colby Tennant and junior Xander Crawford led key performances as teams prepare for upcoming matches.
Weber State football signed two Cache Valley teammates on Friday, Dec.
5, when quarterback Nate Dahle and linebacker Cooper Clark (both from Ridgeline High School) joined the 2026 class. Dahle, noted as one of Utah’s top passers, switched from an initial commitment to Eastern Washington.
