The Daily Ogden team
Davis County kicked off construction Wednesday on Animal Care of Davis County, at 1422 E 600 N in Fruit Heights. It replaces a building from 1985. County officials say the old facility has served for over 40 years but can no longer keep up with the community or the animals it serves.
The new shelter is slated to open in 2028
