- ➤ Sheridan College in Wyoming is offering Utah students in-state tuition rates as low as $4,800 per year to boost enrollment amid a national decline in college-age residents, a move that Utah higher education leaders say amounts to student poaching. Quinney College of Law warned that if the Great Salt Lake continues to dry, its collapse will damage Utah's economy—threatening jobs, tourism, property values and public health. - ➤ Today, the Utah Department of Transportation said six of nine seasonal highways will open by Memorial Day weekend to give drivers and hikers cooler routes and more trail access. - ➤ During its Tuesday meeting at Weber Center, the Weber County Commission approved a contract with John Rogers to represent indigent people in Ogden’s 2nd District Court.
