- ➤ Gov. Spencer Cox’s Fentanyl Task Force reported record busts with 4.7 million pills seized plus a 1.5% drop in overdose deaths in 2024, and state and local police plan to exceed last year’s figures while enforcing a new law that will impose harsh penalties on traffickers. KSL-TV
- ➤ The Salt Lake County Attorney's Office declined to file sexual assault charges against four Roy police officers involved in an incident at Snowbird Mountain Resort on May 14 — the decision came after a review showed there was insufficient evidence to prove the officers knew or should have known the alleged victim could not consent.
