- ➤ The Ogden School Foundation announced that Ann Patchett will headline its 30th Fall Author Event on Oct. 1, 2026. The fundraiser will support classroom grants + include a student writing contest to celebrate three decades of community reading. Standard-Examiner

- ➤ Weber State women’s basketball lost 79-72 to North Dakota State Saturday at the Dee Events Center, with Antoniette Emma-Nnopu scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds; the Wildcats will host Montana Western Tuesday. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ On Nov. 24, 2025, the Standard-Examiner named its 2025 All-Area Girls Soccer First Team at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Ogden, honoring standout Sofia Evans — who led the state with 56 goals and 131 points — and local Elle Weston, who snapped a school scoring record. Standard-Examiner
- ➤ On Saturday, Dec. 6, Ogden girls won at home by beating Orem 52 to 23 with Jill Wood scoring 13 points, while later at the Bear River Winter Classic, Union edged Ogden 58 to 55 (Jackson Maw led for Ogden). Standard-Examiner
